Lets Make 2000 A Kind Turn Around

Where Have They Gone

Where have all the people gone
Did they think the war was won
Did they close their eyes and turn away
Thinking only of today

Can't they hear the children's cry
As bullets ring out in the night
Can't they see the Family kneeling by the dead
Crying, praying, for the ones remaining
Hoping they're not next

Open your eyes and lets take a stand
Pull together, hand in hand
Lets stop the war and spread some peace
Change tomorrow, its their land

Where have all the children gone,
To graves, far and beyond
Once strong and full of life, left now to decay
Was made so peace and joy can't get in the way

Look at the little one
What's that shining in his hand
Does he hold the killing gun
Did he do it just for fun

Look at the little one
Behind bars he will become a man
Could we have stopped it for it began
Say a prayer for this little lamb

Day by day
We take it in strife
It's their future, its their life
It is our job to make it right

Open your eyes
Lets take a stand, pull together hand in hand
Spread some peace, change tomorrow
Its their land

Stop the Hate
Stop the War
Spread the Peace
Spread the Love
Pull Together
It's Our Children's Land

Before you drink and drive read this:

Death of an Innocent
I went to a party, Mom, I remember what you said.
You told me not to drink, so I drank soda instead.
I really felt proud inside, Mom, the way you said I would.
I didn't drink and drive, Mom, even though the others said I should.
I did the right thing, Mom, I know you are always right.
Now the party is finally ending, Mom, as everyone is driving out of sight.
As I got into my car, Mom, I knew I would get home in one piece,
Because of the way you raised me, so responsible and sweet.
I started to drive away, Mom, But as I pulled out onto the road,
The other car didn't see me, and hit me like a load.
As I lay here on the pavement, Mom, I hear the Policeman say,
The other guy is drunk, and Im the one who will pay.
Im lying here dying, Mom, I wish I could get help soon.
How could this happen to me?
My life just busted like a balloon.
There is blood all around me, Mom, I will die in a short time.
I wanted to tell you, Mom, I swear I didn't drink.
It was the other's, Mom, the others didn't think.
He was probably at the same party as I.
The only difference is, HE drank, and I will die.
Why do people drink, Mom?
It can ruin your whole life.
Im feeling sharp pains now, pains just like a knife.
The guy who hit me is walking, Mom, and I don't think it is fair.
Im lying here dying and all he can do is stare.
Tell my Brother not to cry, tell Daddy to be brave,
And when I go to Heaven, put Daddy's Girl on my grave.
Someone should of told him, Mom, Not to drink and drive.
If only they would of told him, I would still be alive.
My breath is getting shorter, Im becoming very scared.
Please don't cry for me, Mom, When I needed you, You were always there.
I have one question, Mom, before I say good-bye,
I didn't Drink, So why am I the one to die?
